<< My impression is that you are relatively new to the thread, so maybe you don't know Pearly or what he stands for and what he believes, >>

Not quite. I have had discussions with Pearly on other threads, and I stand by my opinions of him.

<< ... but what you said about him is uncalled-for and untrue. >>

I will be the first to hang my head down and apologize, when and if I am proven wrong. But, so far, Pearly is living up to my expectations of him. Mind you, I am not saying that Pearly is a bad guy. I am only saying that he is taking a biased and unfair stand against American foreign policy, especially Iraq.

<< He's not giving Saddam a pass ... >>

Of course he is, and so are others. By faulting America for the misery of the Iraqi people, because of the sanctions, implies that Saddamn Hussein is NOT at fault for their misery, and also implies, big time, that if the sanctions were lifted Saddamn would spend the extra revenues on the Iraqi people, and that lifting the sanctions would do more good than harm. These are all legitimate issues that should not be ignored while bashing American policy.

Saddamn needs more revenues for his military and for his weapons of mass destruction. Eenee, meenee, miny, moe, what would Saddamn do with the extra dough?
