Well said Doug. I hadn't thought of it in quite that way before. But I think you're right...

The liberal Democrats I know are not anywhere near as rabidly hatefilled toward President Bush as the ones on this thread. They didn't vote for him, but most see him as a decent guy, who is trying to do what is right for our country.

Although many conservatives criticized Bush for his use of the term "compassionate conservative", it's actually working well to erase the meanspirited label liberals have perpetuated via the mainstream news networks over the years.

DOUG, I must agree with your assessment. I have known many people that have disagreed with me on different, and varied, issues, but are able to disagree without being disagreeable. Such an attitude is the only way constructive discussion can be held, and be beneficial to either party.

The hatred we see from certain posters, is of a rabid nature. At times the complain about extreme, or radical, people, and they are as radical, and extreme, as anyone they choose to criticize.
