Interesting to skim the ENE financials and balance sheet over time:

From Jan 1999 through March 2001 (limits of SI data) accounts receivable went up $8 billion while cash didn't grow much.

And the company reported around $800 million earnings per year.

Ballooning AR with little real cash flow is a HUGE warning sign.
