Since the Athlon's come out, AMD has had progressively less reasons to "lie" (or speaks mis and partial truths). A fine testimony. AMD has less reason to lie now. An admission they lied in the past and would now if not for the "progressively less reasons to". Those were the K6 days. Funny you forgot to mention that. Well let's clear that up right now! AMD lied during the K6 era. It's now the K7 era. Does that mean Jerry's character has suddenly changed? Right now they're telling you hammer silicon is "imminent" rather that saying it's taped out or in fab. They tell you their "line yields" are in the 90%+ range hoping you'll think that means device yields. They won't tell you why a 5K WPW fab isn't producing the expected output and you don't want to ask..... Elmer's comments were intended to be misunderstood? Quite the contrary.
