Being 'liberal' means 'innovation,' in biz terms.

... I would like to add.

Being open to new ideas, new -- or 'different' people, regardless of skin color or when, exactly, they immigrated to this country, and whether or not 'English' is their 'first language,' etc -- new concepts, means new opportunities.

Would you agree, TigerPaw?

Modern liberalism is almost entirely an anti-change movement.

1. The environment. Led by neo-fascist groups like Earth First and the Sierra club they would like us all to live in huts made of recycled grass.

2. The Economy. Led by Ted Kennedy, and Tom Dashle their answer is for the government to take, and take, then take some more. That may have been a new utopian concept 100 years ago. Today we know it as a failed socialistic form of government.

3. Education. All government, no other experimentation is possible. Our one size fits all perfect utopian education system has no flaws, just not enough money, nor enough caring parents. See #2 for how new a concept that is.

4. Free speech. Led by radical leftist college professors, they've pressed forward with politically correct speech, which is nothing more than group think anti-free speech. A throwback to the dark ages.

5. Race relations. Liberals believe minorities must think one way, cannot make it without government help, even going so far as to call those who think differently "Uncle Tom". See # 4 for anti-free speech, anti-free expression of ideas.

Anti-change on the most important issues of our day is the liberals mantra. Especially in the development of the mind.
