Global Crossing bankruptcy throwing a wee pall over this morning's fun (shouldn't be much of a surprise). $22.5 billion here, $22.5 billion there; after a while, it starts to add up to real money. -g

Gap is gone and red is the colour of the moment. Expect lots of Fed pumping to counter the ongoing debt destruction.

I agree it's a negative divergence vis-a-vis price. . . but for the short term, doesn't it imply a new trading range for the VXN and thus, contrarily, is kinda bullish for the Naz (he types as the market tanks)? Kinda like a stock making a new high -- it might pull back a bit but it should go higher right after breaking through. Mind you, I don't know what makes the Naz rally here. . . but that's not the issue.

My timing in typing this, as always, is not meant to be indicative of my savvy <g>
