Dear Joe:

I take pride in that Linux runs on a 386SX-16 with just 2MB of memory. One of my relatives has this old machine of mine. I however, needed to keep up and desired a faster system to do work at home and yes, play games. So I get systems with 2nd from the top CPUs and build them with larger amounts of memory, disk and I/O. I have found that the other components make for a faster system overall (for example a CD/ROM with an access of 100ms at 6.67x outruns most CD/ROMs with 12x or 16x speeds but, with access times in the mid 200's ms when either installing software or playing games).

I will probably get a Clawhammer 6 months after its release.

Pete
