Smart, main earnings C.C. call is thursday. This I guess is an accounting call. Kind of interesting, huh? ATLANTA, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mirant (NYSE: MIR chart, msgs) announced today that it will host a call-in session on fair value accounting for the investor and analyst community on Monday, January 28 at 2 p.m. EST. During the session, Ms. Angela Nagy, director, accounting strategy, Mirant Americas, will provide overviews and examples of these methodologies. Ms. Nagy led a similar session at Mirant's analyst seminar in November 2001. A copy of Ms. Nagy's November presentation is available at www.mirant.com . In a separate media release issued today, Mirant also announced that it will host an analyst call at noon EST, January 31, 2002, to discuss fourth quarter and year-end earnings, general corporate updates and future plans for capital spending. Given the proximity of the corporation's earnings call to its Monday call, Mirant would like to clarify that Ms. Nagy will only be providing information relating to the topics noted.
