How am I positioned? Gosh I'd tell ya but I'm afraid someone might save the post and razz me about it next week when everything is off. <g> Seriously- I'm long the SPX and the RUT for indices- individual stocks: XOM, HON, SBC, GP. Also have a Nat. Resources fund. Still have more cash looking for a home however.. Intermediate Term- I'm sticking with my outlook that we are in the middle of the 1st phase of a cyclical bull- and would thus have 2-1/2 more phases to go before the next bear hits us. Long Term- I see us in a secular Bear market for probably the next 10+ years. Short Term- who Knows? probably be flat till Fed meeting- and then wildy volatile for a few days after that. If I'm correct on the Phase, the market should begin a major correction in 3-4 months before the 2nd phase starts. I'm suspecting we won't break out of the recent range till next week- and I would guess it will break up, BWDIK. But it's all just speculation, right. <g> Regards, TW
