Yup, but none of the indicators ON those indices show any parallels between the two events. At the risk of hearing major jeers from this thread, "...this time it's different!" Get out your Barron's and check Trader's Committments. I think you will actually see the Commercials lightening up on the short side. Check the odd-lot short sales... lot of bearishness still out there. Call me crazy, but this doesn't seem like a market headed down the tubes.
