Edit: TXN reduces '02 capex
-- Capital expenditures will be $800 million, compared with $1.8 billion
in 2001. The decline follows significant capital expenditures in 2000
and the first quarter of 2001 to install the initial production line of
TI's new DMOS6 300-millimeter fabrication facility in Dallas and to
upgrade three analog fabrication facilities to 200-millimeter wafers.

ST - Trading, FWIW, Status: Only a couple of short plays today, one pressed win and one loss for a whopping overall gain of $320 (still, enough to cover commissions and buy a good bottle of scotch!). I'll gladly take the micro win. Fear, uncertainty and doubt had me in its grasp today.

1/3 - 1/14 loss -$5,450 (one short play)
1/14 gain +$1,110
1/15 gain +$2,310
1/18 gain +$5,220
1/22 gain +$6,330
1/23 gain +$5,640
1/24 gain +$8,340
1/25 gain +$3,540
1/28 gain +$320

MTD and YTD total: +$27,360
