I'm sorry, I don't understand why this is inevitable. My crystal ball, fwiw, says that the deflationary forces now in place will hold down real interest rates for the foreseeable future.

Have you noticed Li Ka Shing acting as dung beetle after 'digestion' of Global Crossing and the Long Distance Carriers? Yes, those ones that invested billions believing that traffic was doubling every three months.

I have still to make a list of BS from bubble times:

"Internet traffic is doubling every three months"

"E-business will kill brick and mortar"
