Poppy Bush is involved in the Carlyle Group. The Bin Laden family was involved in the Carlyle Group UNTIL late OCTOBER. If the story in your POST is true, it wouldn't surprise me if the CIA met with bin Laden TO try and work out an oil deal. However, The Taliban would never cooperate with US oil companies. Eventually, the White House or the CIA would figure out that the Taliban were not cooperative. The Old Post We would have to look back for an old post from a British newspaper. It reported Bin Laden staged a pre-emptive attack on the US because the US asked Pakistan to warn Taliban that the US was going after Bin Laden. The article mentioned that the US made that warning last summer. I don't believe the CIA was involved in Sept. 11 attacks. They were too stupid to figure out what was going on even though various groups had warned the US that Bin Laden was planning a big attack. Last fall, after 9/11 someone sent me an e-mail and said that that Hamas sent people over here to warn the US that Bin Laden was planning something BIG! So there were rumors in the press that the White House was warned.

British papers confirm that the Pakistani ISI relayed the threats to the Taliban.
