Frank. Temp forecast crashed & burned

for the 3 time in the last 3 weeks. From a big deep freeze forecast for 1st wk of Feb on Sat to average seasonable cold in the new forecast yesterday!

grads.iges.org

Sat, the middle map had dark blue deep into the plains and the mid west. Now we're looking at much more moderate light blue. Will it change again?

Looks to me like both NG traders in the pits and stock traders have been pretty patient but are now standing aside till the cold actually shows up. I know that's true in my case.

Have mentioned repeatedly that I've been relying on stops to protect the capital deployed in my gasser trades. Last thing I want to do is give back the good gains accumulated in the many PM and energy trades from late November to date. Bless those stops, the past 2 trading days, for getting me out of blocks in CRK, EPEX and UPL, for a small but not inconsequential ST gain.

Back up to 63-5% cash and a few positions am willing to let profits run on without stops quite as tight. Not yet anyway.<g>

Fewer positions also gives the tactical advantage of being able to watch market reaction to the Fed decision more closely for not having to juggle too many other balls at the same time.

Cheers,

Isopatch
