ELN is supposed to show some clarity at time of earnings call - that is why in front of earnings. So the fall is Enron/Tyco-related (wow - look at TYC go). The drug failure helped. Maximum uncertainty with no quick prospect for it to go away leads to safe shorting. Buyers are scared, see stock plunging and doubt what they believe causing a lack of buyers vs. strong sellers. I would imagine we are now seeing covering of the shorts into the release of earnings. Nasdaq site (www.nasdaq.com) has short statistics. Jon
