Some more details on Orange's position:

news.bbc.co.uk

The revenue growth was for the whole year and is not indicative of a latest Q recovery. Some of the growth was at the expense of other providers. Orange is the leader by far. It has a critical mass now. When people decide which provider to use, they often pick the provider that most of their contacts use. This minimises call costs as same network calls are much cheaper than calls between networks. People choose Orange cos more other people are on Orange. I don't see a way the other providers can fight this.

46 Million people in the UK had mobile phones as of October 2001. There are approx 60 million men women and children in the UK. Orange's revenue per customer declined from the previous year.

Don't kid yourself, it will be a long road back for Sun however, these are the times when news is poor, economy sucks, Sun is the stock to "sell" according to the talking heads on CNBC, print media reports that its the time to sell SUN etc.

My opinion, I have seen it happen so many times before, this is really 1) the bottom. 2) one of the greatest opportunities to buy a great co. on the cheap.
