Hi Bud, You know, Michael, I don't actually feel a blind rage toward the occupant of the White House. Far from it. I have a cool animosity toward him as a puppet who intends to take the wealth of our nation and help shove it into tax havens for his cronies like Ken Lay, avoiding taxes, creating devastation for pensioners and basically violating almost all principles of decency for the sake of a small coterie of lying and rapacious robber barons. My resentment isn't blind. It is eyes wide open and since I'm not in on the take, I figure I got a dog in this fight. BTW, your characterization of the Left was amusing. <smile> There's a lot of truth to it. And a lot there to snicker at. However, what is no laughing matter is the destruction of sectors of the American economy by GWB's friends and benefactors. A good example is the local economy of Portland, OR. There, "Kenny Boy" Lay through his manipulation of market power forced his subsidiary, Portland General Electric, into a situation where electricity rates had to increase 40% as of Oct. 1. There are a number of small businesses that have been forced to close because they couldn't afford the additional energy cost. And this at a time when wholesale electrical rates have been tamed by proper FERC price controls. Add to that impact the fact that the PGE employees have had their 401(k)s devastated by the bankruptcy of the parent company. Michael, this is the future we can look forward to with your man in the White House. He's a cuckold of the free market, de-regulation, send the cash to the Caymans crowd. He's going to go a long way toward the devastation of the American Dream for the sake of a few shekels in his palm, provided by his corporate corrupters. Is this truly the America you desire? -Ray
