Dan, re: AMD has to increase market share, and Intel has to try to stop them, at just about any cost, and both Intel and AMD understand that right now. So Price Wars, the sequel, is beginning. The overall market demand has 5 times the (profit) impact as a point or two of market share. Intel decreased prices 12 to 18%, nothing like ~eight-twelve months ago when price declines were more frequent and more substantial, when both companies were competing for a shrinking pie, and Intel was trying to place the P4 into the mainstream.
