Usually (or so it seems) when an entity receives great wealth without having earned it they begin to think they have achieved greatness through their wisdom, but actually they are just road apples....

I've noticed that exact same thing in many people I've met who worked at Microsoft in the late 80's and into the 90's.

My feeling? Right time, right place, and it has nothing to do with innate genius.
