got this from another thread: TYC to open lower on some "ethical" concerns.

and the guess host on CNBC this morning was commenting the sum of TYC's part won't give shareholder value. not worth as much as the
whole company.

Looking back at a 5 year chart, I see several 1 day panic downspikes...Oct 98, Oct 99 [I jumped in then back out on that one] and less so Sept 01...we know what that was about. There are also several lesser down spikes 2 - 5 points in between. These downspikes have one thing in common...had you bought them and sold a few days later, you would have made money. One other thing, I'm told the 'SMART MONEY' if there is any such thing, generally acts near the close....the 'not so clever money' acts near the opening.
OTOH, This could be the exception and, as I've said several times, building an overlarge position in this is, IMO, imprudent.
