By Jason Spencer American-Statesman Staff Saturday, January 26, 2002 State officials have moved to shut down seven troublesome Sixth Street nightclubs after Austin police charged their owners with lying to obtain liquor licenses. The clubs -- Roxy, Bayou Lounge, Capitol Draft House, Platinum X, CrO2 Chrome, Rehab Lounge and Treasure Island -- have become notorious for underage drinking, drug use and fights, police said Friday. "These are businesses that see only the bottom line, care only about profit and ignore issues of public safety," Police Chief Stan Knee said.

The Bush girls won't get away with half the things anyone on this board got away with in their youth. You'd think NOW would come to their rescue and decry the pressures the mean old press is bringing to bear on these poor young girls. NO PRIVACY RIGHTS! The inhumanity of it all. Where's JJ to comfort her and pray for her recovery.
