Likewise here, though it was an Italian restaurant. DAK's a vegetarian though, if I remember correctly. Perhaps he has not been here in a while. Now we have been in the EEC for some time, the supermarkets are almost identical to those on the continent. Most of the produce is "EEC" in Europe these days. I think it's had an overall effect of improving the standard of British cooking -g- Like most counties, you need to adapt to the lifestyle and look around carefully. Sure you can get crappy food and food poisoning here too. The flavor in European vegetables is clearly noticed and missed getting off the plane in SF. Of course the money, service and lifestyle more then make up the difference.
