Yes...and the woman that was run off the road and killed "cut the guy off"...

It's true that the guy that Junta killed got in Junta's face...a highly stupid act for a guy of his stature. But a man of Junta's physical size should have just walked away. Simple common sense.

Once he left "defensive" mode he became a combatant and therefore by definition there is malice.

I never did buy the "he started it" argument from my children either. People must be held fully accountable for their own actions and most especially when it involves taking another human life.

The "road rage" case got tons of publicity here too, and yes I think the judge was sending a message. A message of deterrence to the public at large. Not an inappropriate thing for a judge to do in a civilized society when people behave like animals.

That's why Junta was only convicted of involuntary manslaughter and I think he would have walked if he had not stupidly bragged to the cops that he "got a few good shots in" when they arrived on the scene....
