Tony,

How much was the PC based on a Cyrix uP? How much cheaper was it when compared to a "comparable" Intel/AMD computer?

RE:"I was at Fry's in Sunnyvale this weekend and saw a Cyrix based PC. Where in the he-2 sticks are they coming from? More important, who'd buy it? At a glance, seem to be more Celerons, for both notebooks and desktops on display, along with the PIIIs and PIIIMs, and P4s. AMD based PCs continue to be almost a no-show."

They are coming from VIA and are available in notebooks as well for about $700-$800. This is what Dan3 has been crowing about as far as VIA taking share.
Well, they may get a % or two in Taiwan. No big deal.
