Joe, Re: Isn't die size of these processors a fraction of 100+ mm^2 of typical x86 processor? What would be the ballpark figure? MY WAG is maybe 1/5 to 1/2, some 20 to 50 mm^2 under .18u process, less with .13u.

I ran a quick Google scan and came above these numbers from ARM:

So 10-20 mm^2 seems to be a reasonable guess. In that case margins for the embedded processors would be better than I expected. But AMD still had to find customers for these chips...
