I should have more appropriately phrased my sentence ....

"For ME in some respects, I think his songs are enhanced by doing so (simply reading his words)"

I wasn't taking anything away from his style or delivery.

I agree Mr M..when he sings "I have heard it all before" the tiresome tone and near apathy speaks even more than the words..IMO of course<g>
