It's even worse than that. The schools get HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars from the vendors of sugar water and fatburgers that run the cafeteria concessions and split the take with the schools, which they justify as "gee, we need the money". Meanwhile they hire more administrators, rather than teachers. They, plus ads, are training kids to eat crap. Throw some $$$ in front of a decision maker and they're willing to give the kids a premature death. I wonder if the kids learn that lesson as well. I could ask where is the PTA? ... But half the time, I'll bet it's their idea. jttmab
