You might be right Chuck. The following portfolio shows the market cap of 100 publicly traded CDN listed companies who are looking for diamonds in Canada. Aber is the only one with a mine in Canada (SouthernEra has mines in Africa) and accounts for over half of the $2.5 Billion in market cap of all these companies. So you have to wonder: Will any of the other 99 companies have a mine eventually? Ashton, Tahera, MPV, Rhonda are all getting closer and many of the others may fluke upon something. As a group, I don't think these market caps are outrageous, though some individuals are a little suspect. A single economic pipe could have a NPV of over $1 Billion.
