War is brutal, but mistreating prisoners is not OK. Instances where our own people have been mistreated have attained legendary status - Andersonville, the Bataan Death March, the Hanoi Hilton. They can't get away. They are locked up. Mistreating people who are locked up is something Bad Guys do. We are Not Them. We are not the Bad Guys. Maybe some people think it would be fun to be a Bad Guy and mistreat prisoners. My own Christmas wish was for peace on earth, good will to men, and to personally strangle Osama bin Laden until his eyeballs popped out. When I told this to my husband, he suggested torturing him first. Nope. Not OK.
