thanks...btw., imo, historical comparisons of this sort are more useful to gauge the current situation than comparisons to the risk free rate of return. they show how the social mood influences the valuation metrics as bull and bear markets progress. the metrics themselves are moving targets, obviously.

I believe the Barra committee has been moving the techs to the value group. The P/E there is 71.
