Before today, I didn't feel like I was fighting the tape. Rydex numbers were Bearish enough to support my position. The market appeared as if it was basebuilding and was ready to go higher after this expected brief cycle low. Unfortunately, I got caught on the wrong side in the vortex that Ross Perot calls... a giant sucking sound... and the market went down much further and faster than I was anticipating.

Rydex numbers not very comforting for me tonight, but this too shall pass and we will get our countertrend bounce.

I lived thru much worse in the week of September 17 - 21 2001...

And still made money in Rydex for the year.

Best Regards, J.T.

Rydex numbers have plenty of room to go before damage is done. Why fight the tape?

This is why I avoid futures and trade rydex mutual funds. Had I gone 'short' before the bell I obviously would have been whipsawed twice.

One day never makes a market.

What is your prognosis for the market over the next few days and weeks? Would love to hear a different perspective.

Best Regards, J.T.
