I think if he cut the market would swoon. He's out of bullets. No one is in denial about this. But "the news" may just affirm what everyone knows. I suppose he'll spend some time with "the statement." Move to neutral bias and talk about risks to the downside. But he's done

Saw a very interesting post about a week ago that concluded he needs to average injections of 10 billion/day or he won't even keep pace with expiring repos. Wish I had the url at had to post, but can't find it.

Admit it's a subjective observation. But recent weeks look to me like the boy has been slackin' vs the past couple of months. Even with no cut, an appreciable slowing of liquidity injections is asking for trouble. The credit structure in this economy is so shaky that a small breeze would knock it over!
