I don't think APC would have had a problem if the write down was taken in Q4, but in this post ENE era that we operate in, the fact that it was an error that was most likely forced on them by tighter scrutiny from the accounts mostly fill cause a problem.

APC does have the best IR department in the business. It will be interesting to see how it is handled by the press.

I'm sure we can expect a nice article from our friends at the WSJ.

APC is down 1.82% in post market, which closed before the release was issued.

Looks like the word is out.

I suspect it will drag others like DVN down with it, since DVN is one of the most likely candidates to have large 4Q write downs.

Another interesting day tomorrow.
