Hi DAK, more predictions … more scary stuff, the Enronians could have sold massive covered calls on their ENE equity holdings that were deep in the money, have the shares called away at expiration, showing apparent huge losses on the sale of equities, with two benefits, (a) can honestly say, ‘I took a big loss on my shares sales’, (b) get a tax write-off, and (c) have no broker filed taxation forms to show any profitable option trades. Do this with a tiny brokerage company, and then pull the financial plug and shred the papers.
