D, I am not sure about Hays longer term record either, in April 2000 he was forecasting 1400 on the Naz (quite vehemently) before the end of 2000. In May 2001, just as we were peaking around 2300, he was sure that 1600 will no be seen in that cycle and everything is "Up and away". He missed the 3100/4300 move from May 2000 to the summer's high, and kept in the market from the spring 2001 highs of 2388 to 1400 late in September.
