OT/ I love this Briefing.com blurb. They've switched to having a little more info in their headlines, and so we get this:

16:34 ET Conseco issues Memo #18 (CNC) 3.17 -0.09: Co announces a series of initiatives -- including the sell of assets and retirement of debt -- that mgmt expects would give it the flexibility to assure that liquidity is not an issue in 2002 or 2003

I think, should I ever be worried personally about Freepish finances, that I will simply issue a Memo #18.

Sorry for the OT, but this just plain old tickled me.

I was thinking of something along those lines with the NDX, but maybe the opposite: December 6 started the 1 or A down, and the secondary top ended the 2 or B, with the 3 or C down underway now.

Allan's comment on confidence is very good. And this has been a confidence game. -g-
