You are saying the Taleban were not soldiers because they ??? spit on others?? Actually they never left afganistan. In fact no one liked them for them have been given visas to go much of anywhere. The taleban did not use civilian planes to attack anybody! They did not even have enough money to pay the pilots to keep their own airplanes in the air. You are definetely bluring the distinction between the taleban and the al-quada which is a completely different organization with a lot of money and resources and in no way lived with monthly saleries of under $20. But heck why not... They all look the same anyway.. kinda dark and brown wearing diapers on their heads! And even the al-qudea whatever has RIGHTS, they are trying to free their land? country? what ever from what they think is injustice. You and I might not agree with them or like them or even think of them as human. But when you start bluring and categoring causes and people it creates a very dangerous precedent. And usually history has shown that the ones who start it are usually the ones to bear the burden later on in life.

Civilization is measured by how a culture treats another. Especially one who is determined to kill you.

Oh yea one other thing. The US said they killed anyone carrying weapons out openly. Or if someone was a carrying a weapon nearby it was enough to consider them pockets of resistance and to drop a 500 pounder near by. Well guess there are no POW's then! Yep you are right. No POW's in this war. The US is on very dangerous grounds just like the Romans and others before them. They also got away with things on so called high moral grounds and no one else to stop them and made rules and laws as they wanted to suit their own needs... Except time!

Here is a good article on the LTTE, which I 'think' does not target outside sri lanka except with a few exceptions. They are a terrorist organization according to most countries. But just how are oppressed people supposed to find justice and rights? the US itself does not recognize the UN world court so forget about taking someone else to court and getting any justice. Its a pretty long article about how they went from a totally non-violent pacifist moment to a violent one after their non-violent leaders were killed and new ones took over who were not to eagar to lie down and die.
