Where I found this interesting was in the case of a soldier playing "dead" on the battlefield. Doing this in order to get an advantage against the enemy is against the Geneva Convention. This would put limits on what is legal in terms of camouflage. But I suppose that playing dead in order to avoid capture is okay. This all goes in with it being illegal to boobytrap bodies.
