My understanding (and I am no expert on wicca) is that it is an old world pagan religion that has much in common with other pagan religions that developed in primarily agrarian cultures. In other words, seasonal cyclicality is a big part of the religion. Many remnants of the pagan religions can be seen in today's christianity.

I only know of two of the gods associated with wicca. Diana is the main goddess and is represented in the Moon and Lucifer is represented by the Sun. If my memory serves, instead of Diana and Lucifer being enemies, they are lovers.

Again, I may be wrong on some of the details, much of my information is pure hearsay.
