Stan,
Looks like we have the making of a morning rebound. I listened to Bush's speech carefully and i was a bit disappointed that he wasn't more specific about consensus policies vis a vis the economy with the democrats. But with 99% support among the republican right, it is time to use some of that political capital to get a stimulus bill of some sort passed. We probably have seen the final fed rate cut. A bipartisan plan on the economy would be a good thing. A bipartisan plan on some "regulation" of corporations to prevent more enrons is also a good thing. I believe the democrats will be willing to meet Bush more than half way give the over 80% rating he has among all citizens. We shall see. mike
PS Bush scared the hell out of me reminding me that what i went thru on 9/11 could happen again any time, any place. It is clear that he expects another blow--all the more reason to repair the economy even if there is some inflationary cost.
