There is something very wrong with the above sentence, but I can't figure out whether it's logical or grammatical, but it's nonsensical. There are two ways it could be edited, and since I can't tell what you meant, I'll edit it both ways.

1.) They have rights because WE, AS AMERICANS, believe that they have rights.

2.) They have rights because all human beings have inalienable rights (rights that cannot be taken away), bestowed upon them by God.

In other words, either the rights derive from God, or they derive from American beliefs, but if they derive from God then it doesn't matter what Americans believe, only whether Americans respect the rights which derive from God.

That is the meaning of inalienable. They cannot be taken away, only disrespected.
