Which is why the socialists who want to "reform" campaign finance are are seizing on Enron to do it.

They want to completely untether Dems from any economic reality and make them the fully socialist party.

There is a legal maxim that states: "hard cases make bad law".

Enron is a hard case that will make bad law if the socialists have their way. We already have laws to deal with criminal behavior - but the Dems/socialists care little about punishing actual bad behavior at Enron - they want to advance their power and their aganda.

Gephardt made that clear last night. Lieberman too.

Remember, the ubiquitous Waxman spent eight years helping Clinton defeat the law and abstruct justice.

I watched both the address and the response.
Gephart seemed a bit out of touch after Bush received over 75 applause interruptions. The U.S. Has had it easy since WW2, and the generations that came after the 2nd World War, seem to have been on Party mode until now.

Bush did a fantastic job with pointing out what we have done so far and what needs to be done.
