The other possibility is that we have experienced a tremendous fake out on the cyclical bottom- and the cyclical bear market is not over. That would mean taking out the '98 lows, and heading on down to '94-'95 lows.

If you really think the cyclical bear market is not over- that would be the target, IMO. The positioning for that scenario would be to short the crap out of small caps- because the A/D line (which is close to highs now) should proceed to totally collapse in the coming months..

As for GDP- Auto numbers won't keep up that pace, but you should take note of the increases due to defense spending- because they are going to keep increasing for the forseeable future. The war machine is just starting to build momentum..
