"Is there any confirmation that there really IS an alchemy/AMD deal?" Nope. But it gets tiring to always couch it in terms of "if this happens...". Of course it is contingent on there actually being some truth to these rumors. But, in it's favor is that Hector has said that AMD needs to move in that direction, and the best way to do it is to acquire someone. My two top candidates are Alchemy and Linkup. Alchemy seems the most likely, given the circumstances.
