GAO Filing Suit Against W.House - Sources
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The General Accounting Office (news - web sites), the investigative arm of Congress, will announce on Wednesday it is filing suit against the White House to obtain details of how a task force headed by Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) formulated its energy plan, congressional sources said.

The GAO informed the leadership of Congress of its decision on Wednesday morning and was expected to announce it on Wednesday afternoon, said a congressional leadership source, who asked not to be named.

``They have decided to go ahead,'' the source told Reuters. ''It will be posted on their Web site later today.''

Among the details sought by the GAO are the task force's contacts with energy companies, including Enron Corp. (ENRNQ.PK) which has since collapsed. The White House has refused to hand over the records, saying the disclosure would encroach on its ability to obtain candid advice from outside experts.

Comptroller David Walker began his pursuit of the task force records last spring at the request of Rep. Henry Waxman of California and Rep. John Dingell of Michigan, both Democrats. They complained that environmentalists had been largely shut out of the task force's closed-door sessions.

Have you ever noticed a certain similarity between ardent Political supporters and Penny stock pump and dumper posters.

No matter what the facts, they just post. If there is bad news, they immediately discredit it and bury it with a flurry of posts. They blame others for intentionally misinterpreting the news because they are "short" (or predisposed against) Bush.

Bill, baby, HOW CAN YOU JUSTIFY BRIBERY RESULTING IN THE COLLAPSE OF A COMPANY OR ANYTHING WHICH HARMS OUR SYSTEM OF RAISING CAPITAL FOR NEW BUSINESS.

What justification is it, that, "He did it, too!!!!!" Who friggin' cares.

.................................STOP IT AND WHOEVER IS DOING IT, NOW.
