Might as well, since they have zero competition for those beasts nowadays. Actually, they are no more beast-like than any other powerful server since they went CMOS a decade ago. Scale-up vs. scale-out, both schemes seem to be doing OK. One top tier OEM had plans for a machine that could be configured into either a big cluster, maybe up to 32 nodes, or into a tightly coupled single image (scaled-up approach) machine. Don't know what happened to its development in the big implode of the last year plus.
