That means less of a cushion if we drop after the announcment (which I expect)

I may be wrong, but IMO this will be the most carefully worded statement yet...in an effort to support the market. From the past, it seems like after the FOMC decision and statement, the market moves both up and down (like a yo-yo!), before the general statement can be evaluated and "the market" decides whether or not the statement is what most people want to hear.
