I was just saying - either AMD figures that they just don't have a good brand name reputation with the Athlon that they are willing to maintain, or that Magee's sources are wrong once again. Neither seems unplausible, but I don't think it makes much of a difference in the end. The Athlon was a second-rate name to begin with. Vantron, Optitron, or Decepticon wouldn't be any worse (unless the latter one has copyright issues <g>).
