Ted, right now Infiniband is the general I/O interconnect between systems and I/O or storage, and HyperTransport is the chip-to-chip interconnect. Later on, HT will become a processor interface with Hammer. There is also talk of making HT a general-purpose PCI-like interface, but so far I don't know of any specific plans to make this happen.

Let's just say that you'll be hearing the name "Prescott" mentioned more and more as 2003 rolls around. As for 2002, AMD will make gains in mobile and workstations, but they'll give up high-volume desktop market share.
