How do you analyze something like Tyco? Can you trust their accounting?

My gut tells me that EP gets interesting in the low 30's. But I recognize that Buffettology requires more than just gut reaction.

A company like Tyco is not my game - has never showed up on any of my short lists. Some folks may be discussing on value threads as it's really an issue of breakup value at this point. I understand some feel the accounting is funky, but I just haven't looked.

Perhaps some others may comment.
